Creating a Pleasant and Healthy Environment for Seniors
Maintaining a fresh and clean environment in senior living facilities is crucial for the well-being of residents and the overall perception of the facility. Odors can negatively impact the experience of both residents and visitors. Let’s explore how Pyure’s air purification systems can effectively neutralize odors from senior living facilities, ensuring a pleasant and healthy atmosphere.
Athenian Living, an assisted living community, faced the problem of periodic smells around the building, which could cause a negative opinion of the facility. They used Pyure products to remove the unpleasant odors, and it also helped with infection control during a small COVID outbreak. Pyure proved to be effective, and the facility believes it is doing what it hoped it would do.
Helping Sellers and Real Estate Agents
One of the services we provide is helping home sellers and real estate agents make homes more inviting and easier to sell by destroying off-putting odors. In this video, you can see the process of how we treat the air and surfaces to remove odors. The home in this video had a strong pet odor. It was removed over a period of days. The technology can also work well against nicotine, weed, mustiness and ethnic foods.
The property used for this video was going to have the proceeds donated to charity. Awen Natural Air supported this project so the property could get maximum value for the charity.
The realtor, David Cable or ReMax Elite had this to say:
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Awen Natural Air on a project to remove a severe odor from a property. From start to finish, the service was exceptionally turnkey, requiring no assistance from me as the realtor or the homeowner. The technology they employed was not only safe but also incredibly effective, eliminating the odor and leaving the property fresh and clean. The cost of the service was very reasonable, providing excellent value for the high-quality results delivered. Tom, who oversaw the entire process, ensured everything went smoothly. His professionalism and attention to detail made the experience effortless and stress-free. I highly recommend Awen Natural Air for any odor removal needs.”
Many home owners and real estate agents have used various methods to remove odors. Typically they use deep cleaning, carpet shampooing and ozone. Deep cleaning makes the home look great, and they may add fragrances to mask the odor, but it usually falls short of removing the odor. Carpet shampooing may remove some odor from carpets, but not from the paint, wood and other items that have absorbed the odor; wetting the carpet may also activate bacteria. Ozone is toxic and places the space off-limits while it’s used; it can also damage electronics and fabrics. Ozone should only be used by qualified people.
Dealing with a Cat-tastrophy
Car dealerships and car repair businesses often have customers with vehicle odor issues. Sometimes it’s nicotine or week. Sometimes it’s pet odors. Often times, it can be due to water intrusion. New car manufacturers have company protocols for odor removal. These often relay on ozone and enzyme sprays. Ozone is toxic and is bad for employee health, it can damage sensors, electronics and fabrics. Enzyme sprays are tough to get onto all the surfaces and fabrics where odors reside; especially in the vent ducting. Sometimes, restoration companies are hired at very high cost ($2,500+). When inferior odor removal technology is used the customer endures additional down time. If it’s a warranty issue, the dealership may be stuck paying for rental cars, labor and other services.
Recently, a local car dealership service department had an SUV that had a bad mold smell that appeared whenever the A/C recirc vent was used. After trying ozone and enzymes without success, their next step was to disassemble the dashboard, remove and clean the ducting.
Awen Natural Air’s solution was to use Pyure Dynamic Protection technology. We modified our equipment with a flexible duct, placed near the recirc vent intake. After just four hours of treatment, with no labor, the mold odor was destroyed. The customer was happy. The dealership service department promptly asked to purchase equipment.
The next removed mold from a pick up truck, a dead rodent smell from another vehicle, and then a nicotine odor from a trade-in used car. Our equipment does the job, thoroughly, without chemicals and without damaging interiors or harming technicians.
